It took the maximum number of people who could enter our country under the socalled guest worker provisions from around 130 million over 20 years. at a Murray Nelson (FL) Nelson (NE) Obama Pryor Reed Reid Roberts Salazar maximum. down far below that to probably 9 million. That is in only one provision of the bill. However. I remind my colleagues that while that was one of the most egregious provisions in this entire legislation. this legislation still calls for massive increases of legal immigration into our country. even with that change we effected last night. My staff worked hard on this. and I dont think anybody has even considered the numbers until the last week or the last few days. That analysis concludes that as the bill is now written-
