To this day. we have not been able to have a vote on that Kyl amendment. the Dorgan amendment. or the Isakson amendment. all of which have been on the table and discussed. but we are not allowed to vote on them. It takes unanimous consent. all of us working together to do that. The problem is. unless the Senate is able to work its will. we are not ever going to be able to finish a bill and all the good we want to do in addressing immigration will come to naught today or tomorrow and in the near future. That is the tragedy. I still think we have an opportunity to reverse that.
