But we have looked at the bill. and I have to tell my colleagues. if you voted against the Kennedy bill this morning. you need not support the Hagel compromise because it is fundamentally the same thing. I am going to talk about it and explain how it is essentially the same bill. I wish it werent the same thing. I wish it was something we could support. I would like to support good legislation. We have an opportunitya real opportunityto fix the problem with security and immigration in our country. Our Nation is at risk. Our borders are not under control.
