Mr. President. I have come to the floor to talk about an amendment that I filed. that I hope soon we might be able to consider. on this important bill with respect to immigration and with respect to Federal land border security. which are integrated. First. let me say that I am hopeful we can move forward with this bill. It is a very important bill. Obviously. all of us agree with the fact that there are problems that need to be resolved. and they need to be resolved soon so they dont continue to become more difficult. We also recognize that there are aspects of this bill that are controversial and difficult.
