Session #109 · 2005–07

Speech #1090119702

I am advised that the other side of the aisle would not be prepared to vote on this amendment today or tomorrow. What we are trying to do is to line up a series of votes for Monday afternoon. I am advised that Senator BINGAMAN wishes to offer an amendment to add resources to Border Patrol. and on the surface. without final commitment. it looks as if it is an acceptable amendment. We want to have an opportunity there. Senator ALEXANDER has already spoken about an amendment which has a number.
