And the other point is a requirement for English to be the official language. It is a rather complicated subject. but those two areas I think the Senator probably would agree with me. as I agree with most of the remarks he has made. First. Mr. President. for some reason. I have never been sure why it is. but I have been invited to speak at more naturalization ceremonies in my State of Oklahoma than any other Members. I believe. It is always a very touching event for me because these people go through the process. the legal process. of becoming a citizen of the United States. as my grandparents had to do.
