I commend both of you for the diligent and obviously hard work you put in on a very hard subject for the American people. I think we got off to a good start today. Your hearings set the right pace for Americans to begin to understand that immigration is a complicated issue but that it can be solved. I am much more optimistic than I was a couple of months ago that even with these timeframes which have been tough on you all. these mandates by our leader that you get things done by a timecertain. we have both been here long enough to know that maybe that is how you get it done.
