Senator SPECTER had a chairmans mark and a proposed compromise. and all of these approaches created a temporary worker program without a grant of amnesty. We need to find a legal way for employers to find the people they need to keep their businesses running and continue to grow the economy. Creating legal paths of immigration is a way to do this. In the end. it is my hope we will have a bill which has both strong enforcement mechanisms with additional border and interior security and real employer accountability that addresses the humanitarian and economic challenges we now face without amnesty. America has always been the place where one can come to live out a dream of improvement and renewal.
