Mr. Sandelman. a son of a Russian immigrant. was born in Sault Saint Marie. Michigan. on November 26. 1905. In 1912. his family moved to Detroit. Michigan where Mr. EXTENSIONS OF REMARKS. Vol. 15 1. Pt. 20 Sandelman attended high school and became known for his ability to sing. dance. and play the banjo. In fact. the students named Mr. Sandelman "Banjo Buddy" because of his passion for playing the instrument. Following high school.
