Session #106 · 1999–2001

Speech #1060006121

The car rolled over and rolled on to his arm. He was able to receive medical care at the veterans hospital. Had he not had that care. I dont know what would have happened to him because 1937 was a very tough year for Americans generally. but an especially tough year for my immigrant parents who had four young children to support. That experience at the veterans hospital in Wichita has stayed with me as sort of a hallmark of medical care for Americas veterans. I think it is generally recognized that we do not do enough for our veterans.
