Frank Aguirre is a fitting example of someone living "the American dream." Born and raised in Sonora. Mexico. Frank came to the United States in 1949 on a student visa. His interest was Engineering. and he attended Los Angeles TradeTechnical College. Later. at East Los Angeles College and California State University. Los Angeles. his major changed to Accounting. Recognizing the value of hard work and the opportunities it opens in the United States. Frank became a naturalized citizen in 1956. While at East Los Angeles College. he met Rosie Padilla. and they wed in March 1957. They have four children: Victor.
