The bill does contain $10 million for new buses and bus facilities across facilities. and $600.000 for the Capital Area Transit Authority in Lansing. And. $200.000 for a study of the viability of commuter rail in Southeastern Michigan. As a cosponsor of legislation to delay implementation of Section 110 of the 1996 Immigration Reform bill. which was scheduled to go into effect on September 30. 1998. requiring individuals entering the U.S. at the Canadian border to complete a visa card at the point of entry and register at the time of exit. I am pleased to note that this bill contains language delaying the provision for 30 months. However. it should be repealed. not just delayed.
