The womens suffrage movement was a multicentury struggle that extended freedom to half of our nation. Strength. courage. and passion are the reasons why these women battled for what they so rightfully deserved. freedom. Her other publications include the following: Milestones: A Chronology of American Womens History. American Womens History: An AZ of People. Organization. Issues. and Events. American Women in World War II. and Foreign and Female: Immigrant Women in America. 18401920. In 1994. she received the National Order of Women Legislators Hall of Fame Award. Also. in 1995 during Floridas Annual Civil Rights Conference. she received one of five awards commissioned by the Florida Commission on Human Relations.
