General Schriever. a retired fourstar general. is widely regarded as the father of the ICBM. General Schriever was born in Bremen. Germany. on September 14. 1910. His family immigrated to the United States when he was seven years old. and he became a naturalized citizen at age 13 and finished his early schooling in San Antonio. Texas. His flying career began in the late 1920s. as a mailcarrier flying between my home state of Utah and Wyoming.
