Illinois. Maryland. Massachusetts. Nebraska. New Jersey. New York. Rhode Island. Washington. and recently Texas. that funds are already being used. State funds. for the very purposes that we talk about here in the bill and in the conference committee report regarding legal aliens food stamps. Already States are paying. through State coffers. for these exact kinds of funds for food stamps for illegal aliens. Therefore. the passage of this bill will relieve States like New York and Texas and other States who may choose to substitute the conference committee report for State funds. It makes great sense to pass this.
