This amendment would Increase the visa relusal rate from 2% to 3% which would allow Greece and Portugal to participale In the tourist visa waiver program. As of now. ihese Iwo countries are the only two members of the European Union nol included In the program. However. U.S. citizens visiting Greece. do not need a visa. This is Inappropriate treatment for a country like Greece which Is one of Iho United States best allies. Greece Is one of only three coinIdes outside the Britsh Empire which has fought with the U.S. in every war this century.
