Session #105 · 1997–99

Speech #1050095551

Should it be solved by putting walls around our country and describing ourselves as protectionists? No. I dont think so. That is not the point. That is not what we are here arguing. The point we are debating is that those who come here with this mantra chant of "free trade"-just a mantra chant. You are either for free trade. or you are some xenophobic isolationist stooge who doesnt understand it. You just do not understand what the world has become. You are either for free trade. and you. therefore. understand all of the implications of that. or you just dont get it.
Identified stereotypes
Those who support free trade are portrayed as understanding the world, while those who don't are labeled as xenophobic isolationists.
