Most of my colleagues probably are already aware of the tragic case of some 57 hearingimpaired Mexican immigrants smuggled into this country illegally and held in involuntary servitude. if you will. This was brought to light through the national media on July 20 of this year. Mr. Chairman. these unfortunate individuals had been put up in two apartment buildings in Queens.
