Mr. Speaker. I have brought this bill to the House floor in response to a loophole. as has been explained. in the current immigration and welfare reform bills that we passed last year. We thought we had covered all of the areas that would prevent illegal aliens. those who are here in this country illegally. from receiving taxpayerfunded benefits. but we apparently missed this one area where $12.000 in my district was paid to an illegal alien that was being displaced from a housing project when the housing project was being converted into an AIDS Housing Program. another government program. HUD determined that the relocation requirements require them to pay benefits or relocation costs and assistance to this illegal family. Mr.
