Speaker. we are going to debate the tax bill tomorrow. and we will show how their bill on the majority side would blow a hole in the budget. and we will show how they are using phony figures. But today we are debating the spending resolution. I voted for the budget resolution. Trouble with this spending resolution is it violates the budget agreement. purely and simply. It does so on legal immigrants. It draws an irrational and inhumane line. contrary to what they agreed to. It also goes beyond the budget agreement. and it withdraws from people moving from welfare to work the protections of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
