The combined forces of the Federation pushed the enemy from the Bihac region back towards the Sava and the Drina Rivers. We have been fortunate. In 1997. we can be proud of our military personnel for their efforts and accomplishments. They have been professional and dedicated in their military duties. We have overseen a separation of the warring parties and a cessation of hostilities. We have allowed political reform to begin and refugee settlement to occur. We have led as no other Nation than America can. Keeping our troops there until the end of June 1998 will be the best and correct thing.
