We are doing this with a substantially reduced number of soldiers. We cannot and should not be able to afford to pull 10.000 men and women away from other missions. and further adding to the aggravation and pain of family separation. to help the efforts of the U.S. Border Patrol that is already provided for by this Congress. I strongly urge my colleagues to remember that I have 262 years of experience along our border fighting drug trafficking and illegal immigration. I think this is the wrong thing to do at the wrong time. The Attorney General does not support this amendment.
