Recently. our ArmenianAmerican commu. nity lost a great hero. Alex Manooglan. A penniless Armenian immigrant who came to America in 1924. Manooglan was a kind benefactor. gentlehearted leader. a talented Inven for and a perfect model of the American dream. He was one of the most important and inluential leaders in the ArmenanAmedran Community over the last century. As we commemorate the 82d anniversary o1 the genocide of millions of Armenians at the hands of the Turkish Ottoman Empire.
