Mr. Speaker. we are a very generous Nation. We allow more people every year the right to legally immigrate to this country. I wholeheartediy support that. We are a country of immigrants. But there is a movement because of the tremendous influx of illegal immigrants. those that do not pass health examinations. they violate the laws coming here. Because of that. there are a lot of folks that want to close the front door to legal immigration because the back door to illegal immigration is off the hinges. Mr. Speaker. that is just the reverse of everything that this country was founded on and what I believe all my colleagues would agree is in the best interest of this country.
