Mr. Speaker. I thank the gentleman for yielding me the time. Mr. Speaker. I voted for the preceding legislation to come to this floor because I believe it is appropriate to toughen the Nations response to illegal immigration. But as to the matter that this rule would present before the House. I take a very serious exception. I think it is time that we just step back a minute. take a deep breath and think about what we are doing here. Do any of us possibly think that the illegal activity of a parent ought to be taken out on the kid?
