Finally. Mr. Speaker. I want to urge my colleagues to be mindful of a workable alternative to the problem of illegal aliens who are receiving public benefits. Its called report and deport. The immigration reform bill calls for additional INS enforcement personnel and for strengthened deportation. And. the welfare reform law this Congress enacted says that there can be no silencing of those in state and local government who communicate with the INS. The bottom line is that those who remain in this country illegally should know they are breaking the law and are subject to being reported and deported.
