Now. instead of just cutting fences and doing mischief at night. heavily armed Mexican drug gangs terrorize the ranchers In broad daylight. Some of the ranchers have sold their ranches. according to Information we have. to the gangs or to their front men. Several years ago. an El Paso customs inspector was killed by a drug smuggler who was running the border. More recently. a 12yearold girl was injured when a drug smuggler was trying to run through the border crossing at one of the crossings in El Paso. TX. These smugglers now have 18wheelers and 727 Jet airplanes.
