It was in the conference report. it was in the original bill that was introduced. This provision has really been unchanged for quite some time and has been. as I said. not only included in the Republican bill. but the Senator from Connecticut himself stood up on the floor when the Senator from New Mexico and the Senator from New York said. "What are you guys talking about? This provision on illegal immigrants. it is in our bill. You should not be talking about that." I think there has been very broad support of this issue. It saves a significant amount of money.
