If you out Medicaid. allow families with children to still carry Medicaid. Excess shelter provision is needed. and the CastleTanner has that. Although we are in a climate of bashIng hardworking immigrants. of which many of us came to this Nation in so many shapes and sizes. they pay taxes. They work. This provision in the CastleTanner bill allows for legal immigrants who have fallen on hard times. who cannot find work. to be able to be provided for. Yes. the CastleTanner bill does not increase the taxes of workink poor. people who have made the decision that I would rather stand up and be counted in the work force but yet still need food stamps in order to carry the day for their children. I do not know about my colleagues. but the bill to pass today for real welfare reform that fares America well is the bill that supports our children.
