Session #104 · 1995–97

Speech #1040237144

Well. the main thing we are trying to do is say ablebodied people who are on welfare who can work are required to work. Is that extreme? Is it fair for a guy who is out there working 40. 50. 60 hours a week paying for somebody to stay at home. is it extreme to say to the guy who is able to get to work and join him to be required to work? I do not think it Is. What about illegal immigrations? We said no more permanent benefits for illegal aliens. people who are not American citizens. Is that extreme? I would say it isnt.
