There will be huffing and puffing on both sides. I understand that. There will be claims and counterclaims. Both sides will build word castles In the air about their particular program and how awful the other side is. The plain fact is that this place will work if we can find a way to sift through some of that and decide that there are things that we will agree on and advance those pieces of legislation. Last night. we passed an immigration bill. There were a lot of amendments to it. I supported a number of them and opposed others.
