If the sponsordeeming provisions in the bill are applied to the veterans benefits. some veterans will find themselves ineligible for VA benefits because their sponsor makes too much money. and they are too poor to purchase health insurance. My amendment allows these veterans to receive the health care they need under Medicaid. Mr. President. the fact of the matter is. we should. in this particular proposal. support the care for expectant mothers because it is the right thing to do. We ought to be supporting the care for the children because it is the right thing to do. These children did not cause the problem with illegal immigration. It may be their father and their mother. their parents. Why did their parents come here?
