President. obviously. this is a legitimate debate. It is the kind of thing we should do out here. but we should do it at the right time. There is a legal immigration bill where this subject could be brought up and dealt with at the appropriate time to review this amendment. So in light of the last vote. in light of the fact that this will have a real harsh consequence on many families conducting themselves legally. in light of the fact that this body clearly has indicated a desire to keep these issues separate. I urge that the amendment be rejected.
