I am not here to join or link. I am here to do a single amendment. which was the work product of the Barbara Jordan commission. That is my missionto see that the American people deal with an issue that has been dealt with now for 20 years. which was the Select Commission on Immigration and Refugee Policy. and the Jordan Commission. And to completely ignore the work of that remarkable woman is something that I was not going to see happen. So there will be two amendments by the Senator from Wyomingone on legal immigration and a very short one on employerbased immigrationand that is it. So whatever has been expressed to the colleagues about this sinister effort of recombiningI have never understood the meaning of it. actually. It has always been together.
