We met when we were State legislators in 1971. We kept close ties and worked together here in a very steady. bipartisan fashion. He asked a question. He wondered if there were denials when INS agents sought warrants to search open fields and inquired if I knew of any. I do not know of any denials either. but I do know this. that the requiring of agents to prepare an affidavit. find a judge. and get a search warrant has resulted in a great reduction in immigration enforcement in agriculture. That I do know. In fact. it has practically eliminated employer sanctions enforcement in agriculture.
