Mr. Chairman. this amendment is an amendment to the current guest worker program. the H2A program. My amendment will significantly improve it. I have listened to the concerns of the growers who have come to speak to me and have streamlined the guest worker program that now exists to make it more growerfriendly. Unlike the changes proposed by the gentleman from California to the guest worker program. my amendment does not create a new program. It fixes the current one.
