Session #104 · 1995–97

Speech #1040192211

Its a lesson from which we all could learn. Titled "We Came To America. Too" foreign students study the Pilgrims voyage to America and then compare that experience to their own voyage to the United States and Connecticut. They leam that they are no different from our Nations first immigrantsimmigrants who went on to create the country we know today. We are a nation of Immigrants. each with the potential to make this country a better place. So I ask my colleagues. when you find yourself swept up in the tide of antilegal Immigration fervor this weekstop--remember your own heritageand that we came to America. too.
