In fact. I believe it will save money in the long run. My amendment is to restore a strong sense of law and order in regards to immigration. to restore that strong sense of pride and accomplishment for those who play by the rules and to punish those that violate our laws for selfish gain. This particular amendment has been endorsed by the Americans for Tax Reform. the Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform. and an organization in my State that represents over 90 percent of the police officers. an organization entitled "COPS." This amendment is a onestrike. commonsense provision. It provides incentives for people to obey our laws. not to reward those that break our laws. There is a right way.
