In other words. someone can be hauled before a court and say "We wont tell you what group you allegedly belong to. we wont tell you what we think you did. we wont tell you who is accusing you. we wont tell you what the evidence is. we wont tell you who the witnesses are. go defend yourself." Obviously unconstitutional. totally unAmerican. At least we should have used the provisions of the Classified Intelligence Procedure Act. which gives basic due process to people we think are atomic spies or Mafia kingpins. That would have given some basic due process. Unfortunately. this was not permitted on the floor. This bill is full of such provisions. I urge my colleagues to rethink and provide basic due process in any immigration or any other bill.
