Born in 1922 in Jerusalem to recent immigrants to Palestine. the young Yitzhak Rabin was part of the generation that built the foundation of the Jewish state. He studied in an agricultural school. with the expectation of working the land with his bare hands. But Rabin felt a sense of duty to the cause of building Israel. and he put his own ambitions aside to fight for its birth.
