I think in America have the mistaken notion that foreign policy is just a matter of us playing Santa Claus to the rest of the world. It is not the way it is supposed to be. Foreign policy is supposed to be a vehicle which refleets what we believe in and what we stand for. Well. it seems to me that we stand for human rights. But we have a problem in Turkey: 15.000 deaths. 2.500 Kurdish villages destroyed or forcibly evacuated. and 3 million Kurds made homeless refugees. We have another problem. We believe in a free press as part of democracy.
