I would like to express my concern with the recent spate of violent activity on the IsraelLebanon border. While I am heartened with the current d6tent6. I am concerned that any more activity will forge a new class of Lebanese refugees and yet another generation of Israelis who have reason to fear for their safety. Those of us who are interested in finding a meaningful and lasting peace for the region must encourage Arab regimes to stop Hezbollah from using violence against Israel as a way to derail the Middle East peace process. We must impress upon the Government of Lebanon the need to oust the Hezbollah stronghold in the south.
