Mr. Chairman. the last 2 hours the Committee has been engaged in a very heated discussionand I use that word advisedlyon the Baker amendment. which simply requires that agencies that receive funding have a written policy against servicing illegal aliens. And those people that support this amendment have been branded racists. I resent this. But it comes as no surprise. I was the Member who. in appropriations. introduced a similar amendment for myself and Congressman PACKARD to block illegals from receiving tax dollars. I. too. was branded a racist.
