Session #103 · 1993–95

Speech #1030066273

We are a melting pot. Mr. Chairman. what this amendment is going to do is go again into the throes of the immigration debate. What is going to happen Is that any community that is Hispanic. is American or black. that looks foreign is going to be carded. You are going to ask a little kid for a green card to see if the national service volunteer is going to go ahead and play with the child. to proceed to see if we are acting illegally. Mr. Speaker. we are reaching a point where these amendments are not necessarily dealing with the problem.
