Session #103 · 1993–95

Speech #1030062659

They are listening to this debate wondering when we are gong to put an end to this interminable whining and caterwauling. wondering when we are going to say we have had enough of this overtime. pious oratory. Let me remind the Members of the Chamber that as Presidents have come before us with emergency declarations and requests. we have put partisanship aside and we have said we will come to the aid of needy people. President Bush asked us to come to the aid of the Kurdish refugees. Many in this Chamber rallied to the President because he said it was an emergency. I did not her one word about pay as you go or what about the deficit.
