Mr. Chairman. I strongly support the National Service Trust Act. H.R. 2010. It is what this country needs. Mr. Chairman. for over 200 years. our great Nation has been known as the land of opportunity. Businessmen such as Andrew Carnegie and Cornelius Vanderbilt have made their fortunes here. and immigrants from all over the world have come here for a fresh start. But hard work is not enough anymore. Our young people need education and training to assure their futures. Unfortunately. higher education has become increasingly expensive in recent years. So expensive that many young people cannot afford to go to college at all.
