Even though I represent an area of Georgia. a State that is not experiencing near the problems as many of our border States. those border States that are spending billions of dollars of State funds due to the problems of people illegally crossing our border. however. the people who I represent do participate in the costs incurred by the Federal Government due to those people crossing our borders illegally. Mr. Chairman. $60 million for additional agents to patrol those borders is a small price to pay compared to the billions of dollars that we are participating in due to those illegal aliens. I agree with the statement that we need to approach this problem through the judiciary. but we know those wheels turn slowly. This is a good amendment.
