Chairman. and I know this is a very controversial issue around here. a rising tide lifts all ships. Indications are that as the economy of Mexico improves. people are not as inclined to leave Mexico and come to the United States. Over the past several years as we have seen the improvement in the economy of Mexico. we have. baeed on some reports. seen an actual decrease in the flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico to the United States. That is why implementation of a North American FreeTrade Agreement is key to this issue. because we have to realize that improving the economy of Mexico is in the best interests of the United States of America. I strongly support the HunterMoorbead amendment and I encourage my colleagues to vote in favor of it.
