Mr. Chairman. I rise in very strong support of the HunterMoorhead amendment. I would first like to say the distinguished member of the Judiciary Committee. my friend from Glendale. Mr. MOORHEAD. and I have had the privilege of working on this issue for the past several years. In fact. in 1986 we were able to get a similar amendment put in. Obviously that was not enough. because we still have this flow of illegal immigrants who are coming across the border. Mr. Chairman. why is it that people flee Mexico and come to the United States? One very simple and basic reason is economic opportunity. economic opportunity.
