Mr. Chairman. this is an issue. as the gentlewoman from California mentioned. dealing with illegal immigration. This issue is important to all the people in this country. but I think it is more than just dollars that must be involved here. In order for the job to be finished. taxpayer dollars are not enough. We have to have people to patrol our borders. That is why. for a long time. I have been saying that we have people in the military. We are downsizing our military. We still have many people left in Europe. We are paying $160 billion a year to protect European borders.
